Here is a non exhaustive list of possible evolutions for the SmartPortVHD. As the project is under continuous (and slow) developpement, this list will evolve over time:

• mount/unmount images on the fly with an image selector on the Apple II (done)
• user interface (done)
• removable media support (work in progress)
• floppy disk image emulation (work in progress)
• dedicated GS/OS driver for increased performances up to 42KBytes/s
• write back cache to gain greater media lifetime and quicker file copy
• real time clock support for //c and IIe (done)
• usb support for printer, ethernet, wifi, and maybe hub
